Welcome to TestFast! By accessing or using our website and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you don't agree with any part of these terms, please don't use TestFast.

These terms apply to all visitors, users, and anyone else who accesses or uses our service.

TestFast is a web-based application designed to help UK electricians create Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) faster and more efficiently.

What TestFast Provides:

• NoteScribe™ OCR: Scan and digitize handwritten notes
• EICR Report Creation: Generate BS 7671 compliant reports
• Data Management: Store and organize client information and reports
• Team Collaboration: Work with your team in real-time
• Offline Capability: Access your work without an internet connection

What TestFast Does NOT Provide:

• Electrical testing equipment or tools
• Professional electrical qualifications or certifications
• Legal or compliance advice
• Guarantees about regulatory acceptance of reports
• Insurance or liability coverage

During Beta:

• Free access: No payment required while in beta
• Features may change: We're constantly improving and adding features
• Bugs may occur: We work hard to fix them quickly
• Your feedback matters: Help us make TestFast better
• No service guarantees: Uptime and availability may vary

Your Responsibilities During Beta:

• Back up your work: Keep copies of important reports
• Report bugs: Help us identify and fix issues
• Double-check reports: Always review before sending to clients
• Understand limitations: Beta software has limitations

When we exit beta, we'll give you plenty of notice about any pricing changes.

Account Creation:

To use TestFast's full features, you'll need to create an account. When you do:

• You must provide accurate information
• You must be at least 18 years old
• You must be a qualified electrician or work for an electrical company
• One account per person (not shared accounts)

Account Security:

You're responsible for:

• Password security: Keep your password safe and don't share it
• Account activity: All actions taken with your account
• Unauthorized access: Notify us immediately if your account is compromised

TestFast is for professional electrical work only. When using our service, you agree NOT to:

Prohibited Activities:

• Use TestFast for any illegal or fraudulent purpose
• Create fake or fraudulent electrical reports
• Attempt to hack, disrupt, or damage our services
• Share your account with others or resell access
• Scrape, copy, or reverse engineer our software
• Upload viruses, malware, or malicious code
• Spam, harass, or abuse other users or our team
• Use automated bots or scripts without permission

Professional Use:

You agree to:

• Use TestFast for legitimate electrical testing work
• Ensure all reports meet BS 7671 and relevant standards
• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
• Maintain proper electrical qualifications and insurance

What We Own:

TestFast owns all rights to:

• The TestFast software and application
• Our NoteScribe™ OCR technology
• Our website, design, and branding
• Report templates and formats (the structure, not your data)
• All source code and underlying technology

What You Can Do:

• Use TestFast for your professional electrical work
• Create and download unlimited reports
• Share reports with your clients
• Use generated PDFs however you need

What You CAN'T Do:

• Copy, modify, or distribute our software
• Reverse engineer our technology
• Remove our branding or attribution
• Create competing products using our technology

What You Own:

• Your client data: Names, addresses, contact information
• Your test results: All electrical test data you enter
• Your reports: All generated EICR reports and PDFs
• Your photos: Any photos or scanned notes you upload

Our Rights:

By using TestFast, you grant us permission to:

• Store your data securely on our servers (to provide the service)
• Process your data to generate reports and provide features
• Use anonymized, aggregated data to improve our product (no personal information)
• Back up your data to prevent loss

Data Export & Deletion:

• Export: You can export all your data at any time
• Deletion: You can delete your account and all data
• Portability: Your data is in standard formats (PDF, CSV, JSON)

What This Means:

• Service availability: We aim for 99.9% uptime, but can't guarantee it (especially during beta)
• Accuracy: You're responsible for verifying all test results and reports
• Compliance: You must ensure reports meet current regulations
• OCR accuracy: NoteScribe™ is powerful but not perfect - always review results
• Professional judgment: TestFast doesn't replace your professional expertise

Your Responsibilities:

• Verify all test results before submitting reports
• Maintain proper electrical qualifications and insurance
• Comply with BS 7671 and all relevant standards
• Use professional judgment in all testing work
• Back up critical data independently

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TestFast and its creators are not liable for:

• Lost profits or business opportunities
• Data loss (though we work hard to prevent it)
• Errors or inaccuracies in generated reports
• Service interruptions or downtime
• Third-party actions or integrations
• Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

During the beta period, our total liability to you for any claims is limited to the amount you've paid us (which is currently zero).

Your Right to Terminate:

You can stop using TestFast anytime:

• Simply stop using the service
• Delete your account from your settings
• Request account deletion via email
• Export all your data before deletion

Our Right to Terminate:

We may suspend or terminate your account if:

• You violate these terms of service
• You use TestFast for illegal or fraudulent purposes
• Your account poses a security risk
• You engage in abusive behavior toward our team or other users

After Termination:

• Your data: You have 30 days to export your data
• Account access: Immediate suspension upon termination
• Data deletion: Permanent deletion after 30 days (unless legally required to retain)
• No refunds: No refunds for unused time (once we start charging)

These terms are governed by the laws of Scotland and the United Kingdom, without regard to conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Scotland. However, we'd prefer to resolve any issues amicably through direct communication first.

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to be valid and enforceable.
