Electrical software built from experience on both sides of the screen.
TestFast was founded in 2024 by Michael Adrian, a qualified electrician with ten years on the tools and three years working as a software engineer. It exists to make thorough electrical reporting easier—not to automate away the judgement that makes a report worth signing.

Why it exists
Thoroughness should not cost an electrician their evening.
After returning to electrical work, Michael found that the tools used to document inspections were creating the wrong incentive. Detailed observations and complete circuit schedules meant more repetitive typing, more time fighting grids, and more paperwork after leaving site. The software was making careful work harder when it should have been clearing the way for it.
TestFast began with a simple principle: automation should eliminate the admin while the electrician's expertise stays on the inspection. NoteScribe™ OCR helps turn consumer-unit labels and circuit descriptions into a digital schedule. The Observation Builder helps structure professional wording and regulation references. LiveSync™ can bring compatible tester readings into the right field. The person signing the report still reviews the evidence and owns the decision.
Today the product is built for qualified electricians and electrical contractors across the United Kingdom. It supports EICRs, EICs, Minor Works certificates, and Domestic Smoke Detection certificates, alongside team roles and real-time QS review. TestFast is not a competent-person scheme, training provider, test instrument, or replacement for BS 7671 and professional judgement. It is the focused software layer around that work.
Product principles
What guides the work
Craft stays with the electrician
TestFast removes repetitive entry and formatting. Inspection, testing, classification, and final sign-off remain with the competent person.
Built around real site work
The workflow is shaped by consumer units, handwritten notes, intermittent connectivity, busy teams, and the pressure to finish a proper report.
Software should feel immediate
Fast interfaces and offline-capable workflows are product requirements, because slow tools interrupt concentration and make thoroughness harder.
