For 10 years, I was on the tools, thorough inspections, detailed observations, doing it right even when no one was watching.
Then I spent three years as a software engineer. I learned that slow, clunky tools are a choice, not a technical limitation.
When I came back to the tools, I couldn't unsee it. The EICR software was forcing me to choose: do thorough work, or get home on time.
